Sign Up For The Goodison Sleepout 2020

The Goodison Sleepout will return on Friday 6 March, giving fans the opportunity to spend a night at Goodison Park and raise vital funds for Everton in the Community’s ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’ campaign.

Now an annual event in the charity’s fundraising calendar, the Goodison Sleepout will see Under-23s manager David Unsworth and his entire squad of players and backroom staff join supporters in braving the elements for a fourth successive year.

Last season's sleepout raised £40,000 for the award-winning ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’ project, which supports young adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

So far, the funds raised from the project have been used to purchase and operate a house close to Goodison Park for 16 to 23-year-olds who have fallen on hard times.

In addition to providing accommodation, key services such as health and wellbeing support are also offered, while residents have access to education, training and employment programmes.

Under-23s Brave The Cold For Third Goodison Sleepout

Members of the public can join Unsworth and his Under-23s squad on 6 March and help Everton in the Community support even more youngsters.

It costs £20 to register for the event and we ask those doing so to raise a minimum of £150.

“The Goodison Sleepout has become a night that myself and the squad always look forward to," said Unsworth, who has taken part in every Sleepout since the first in 2016. "Despite the difficult conditions and the freezing temperatures, it’s always an enjoyable night and provides us with the opportunity to be part of a fantastic project.

“Our lads have worked extremely hard to get to where they are now and consider themselves privileged to represent Everton Football Club every day.

"However, it puts things into perspective to think that there are individuals who are the same age as our lads who are at risk of living on the streets and have fallen on desperately hard times. It’s important that we play our part and do all that we can.”
