Thursday’s Liverpool Echo claims “high-level discussions” have taken place at Everton regarding the possibility of appointing Carlo Ancelotti as the Club’s new manager.

The Italian left his role at Serie A side Napoli earlier this week and the local read reports he is keen on a return to English football.

Ancelotti won a Premier League and FA Cup double during a two-year spell at Chelsea between 2009 and 2011.

The Daily Star and Daily Express, meanwhile, speculate Arsenal may also be interested in Ancelotti, who has won the Champions League on three occasions as a manager.

The Star also links Everton with a January move for striker Zlatan Ibrahimović.

The Swedish frontman is a free agent after leaving MLS team LA Galaxy.

Back to the Echo, and the paper carries quotes from Everton centre-back Yerry Mina, who has discussed his charitable work in his home city of Gauchene, Colombia.

In 2016 the defender launched the Yerry Mina Foundation, which provides sport and education opportunities for young people in the city.

“I can see the kids at the foundation are learning and growing, which makes me very happy,” said Mina, in an interview originally given to Everton’s matchday programme.

“They are keeping on the straight and narrow.

"It is important for me to go there and speak to them - and to thank the people who work on the project. I like to help people and it gives me joy to see people helping others.”
