Ferguson Shows Support For Everton Forever Charity Single

Everton caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson joined The Toffee Collective and the Everton in the Community Spirit Choir to film the official music video for Everton Forever, from the soundtrack to the film Everton: Howard’s Way.

The single, Everton Forever, which plays over the end credits of the film, is available to download now, while the soundtrack album is available on pre-order and will be released on Friday 13 December.

A portion of the profits from the single downloads will go to Everton in the Community.

The film Everton - Howard’s Way, directed by Rob Sloman, has wowed Blues’ fans with its telling of the story of the 1984/85 team’s rise to become one of the best sides in Europe in the 1980s, under the Club’s most successful ever manager Howard Kendall.

Ferguson said: “It was an amazing film. It was great to see all the old footage, the tremendous achievements of the mid-80s team, and obviously Howard being such a legend of the Football Club. It was emotional to see that.

“I thought the song was brilliant. I think it’s a great tune and I think they’ve done a fantastic job. I even knew a couple of the words as well!”

Paul Mason, from The Toffee Collective, said: “We wrote this as Everton fans for Everton fans, and just to hear this now that it’s going to take another lease of life from the film on its own, is a wonderful experience for us.”

The Everton in the Community Spirit Choir will sing the song on the Fan Zone ahead of the Blues’ Carabao Cup quarter-final with Leicester on 18 December.
