The Toffee Collective and Toffee Films Ltd will donate a percentage of proceeds from the Everton Forever single to Everton in the Community, the Club’s official charity.

Everton Forever, which plays over the end credits of Howard's Way, is an electronic-inspired tribute to the days of OMD, New Order and Soft Cell and Liverpool in the 1980s, encapsulating themes of community, shared passions, history and success.

Howard’s Way, directed by Rob Sloman, has wowed fans with its telling of the story of Everton's rise to become one of the best footballing sides in Europe in the mid-1980s, under the Club’s most successful ever manager Howard Kendall.

WATCH: HOWARD'S WAY - OFFICIAL TRAILER

Documentary to show never-before-seen footage of Everton's 1980s rise to dominance.

Featuring interviews with members of the 1984/85 League and European Cup Winners' Cup winning team including Andy Gray, Peter Reid and Graeme Sharp, the film has played to packed audiences since its release earlier this month.

The Toffee Collective is made up of Keith Mullin (Musician, The Farm), Steve Parker (PWL) Simon Britton (English record producer, songwriter and actor) Paul Mason, Mark Wainwright (Vile Assembly, internationally acclaimed Punk Rock band) and David Fehily (The Toffee Oracle).

The Club is also supporting the single by playing it at every home game, while members of the Toffee Collective, including Mullin, will appear on the Fan Zone ahead of Everton's game against Chelsea on Saturday 7 December.

“I loved being part of the Howard’s Way film," said Club Ambassador Sharp. "Seeing our achievements on screen brought back to life treasured memories for all of us. The film’s soundtrack plays a big role in telling that story and Everton Forever really helps capture the atmosphere we all felt at the time.”

Paul Mason from The Toffee Collective, who provides the vocals for Everton Forever, said: “Everton Forever is a song written by Everton fans for Everton fans. The song draws upon memories of the greatest team in Everton’s history, along with iconic players from our past, and was written for the brilliant film Howard’s Way as an original piece.

"It is musically influenced by the bands and sounds of the '80s, with a chorus Goodison Park could easily sing aloud.”

Mullin added: “The aim of the single is to highlight the invaluable and amazing work Everton in the Community do to support the people of this great city.

"Everton is a club of the people, for the people. Watch the wonderful Howard’s Way on most streaming platforms and download Everton Forever and include yourself in a piece of Everton history!”
