What The Papers Say – 22 November

Moise Kean spoke to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport when he was on international duty earlier this week.

Teenage striker Kean, who scored twice in Italy Under-21s' 6-0 blitzing of Armenia on Tuesday, told the paper his "immediate objective" is to claim a starting position with Everton.

"I am only looking at what happens now, I just want to train and play," said Kean.

The winter transfer market is heaving into view and Everton are linked with Real Valladolid's 20-year-old Ghanaian central defender Mohammed Salisu, as well as Krzysztof Piatek, the Poland international striker from AC Milan.

Bayern Munich, meanwhile, are said to have joined Everton and Manchester City in the chase for Hoffenheim's Germany Under-21 midfielder Dennis Geiger.

Former Everton centre forward Kevin Campbell talks to the Liverpool Echo about 19-year-old Kean and backs Evertonians to remain behind the ex-Juventus player as he adapts to Premier League football.

The Echo reflects on Everton's race against the clock to get forward Alex Iwobi's August deadline day move from Arsenal over the line.

And the same paper reckons the duo of Chloe Kelly and goalscorer Molly Pike would have impressed watching England boss Phil Neville despite their Everton Women team's 4-1 Continental Cup loss to Manchester City on Thursday.
