Everton Under-18s made it back-to-back wins as two goals from Thomas Cannon propelled the young Blues towards a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers at USM Finch Farm.

Paul Tait's side were already leading through Bobby Carroll's second goal in as many games, when Cannon struck a quickfire double late in the first half to give Everton a 3-0 lead at the break.

Sean McAllister added a fourth for the Toffees with four minutes to play, before Luke Brennan hit a Rovers consolation in the dying moments of injury time.

The result leaves Everton third in the Under-18 Premier League (North), three points behind leaders Manchester City but with a game in hand.
