Silva Provides Mina Update Ahead Of Spurs Clash

Marco Silva says Yerry Mina could be fit to face Tottenham Hotspur after training fully with his teammates on Friday morning.

Club medical staff will continue to monitor the defender ahead of Sunday's game before a final decision is made on his availability.

Mina limped off during Tuesday's win over Watford with a recurrence of the knee problem that forced him to miss last weekend's game at Brighton.

Silva will definitely be without Jean-Philippe Gbamin (quadriceps) and Bernard (knee) but has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the visit of Mauricio Pochettino's side.

"He [Mina] worked with the team this morning," said Silva at his pre-match press conference. "Like I said after the [Watford] match, it is nothing serious what he has with his knee.

"We did the normal exams and we did them again after the match on Tuesday and it's nothing serious. It's just a matter of him having the conditions to [manage] the pain he has in this moment.

"If he can do that, he can train, and possibly he can play as well. Today he did all the session so let's see how he is tomorrow and after we'll take the decisions."

On the rest of his squad, Silva added: "Everyone knows the Bernard situation, the JP situation as well. With them we'll have to wait a little bit more time, all the others are in good conditions."

Tottenham will be without forward Erik Lamela (hamstring) and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris (elbow) for their trip to Merseyside, while left-back Danny Rose is suspended.

Experienced centre-back Jan Vertonghen is a doubt due to a hamstring issue.
