Matchday Guide: Blues To Remember War Fallen Ahead Of Spurs Fixture

Everton Football Club will pay its respects to fallen heroes from the Armed Forces on Sunday with a tribute ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues' Remembrance fixture will see the two team captains joined in laying wreathes by military personnel, standard bearers, and Dave Curtis from Everton in the Community's Knowsley Veterans' Hub.

A bugler will then perform The Last Post as a mark of respect, before the names of former Everton and Tottenham players who lost their lives fighting for their country at war will be displayed on the big screens during a period of silence. The Everton Heritage Society have produced a booklet about the fallen of Everton Football Club, which can be read here.

If you would like to buy a poppy and donate to the British Legion on the day, sellers will be located around Goodison Park in the build up to the game.
