Boss Provides Mina Fitness Update

Everton boss Marco Silva is hopeful Yerry Mina will be fit for Sunday's game against Tottenham Hotspur but admitted the defender will need to be monitored in the coming days after limping off during the Blues' 2-0 win over Watford.

Mina started against the Hornets at Goodison Park having missed Saturday's match at Brighton due to a knee injury.

However, the Colombia international limped off shortly before half-time having felt a recurrence of the problem.

Asked about Mina's fitness and whether he will be available for the visit of Mauricio Pochettino's Spurs, Silva said: "It is too early to say about that.

"Before the game he was completely okay.

"When we changed [replaced Mina with Michael Keane after 41 minutes], he was feeling some pain in that moment.

"I spoke with him after the game and he said he didn’t feel pain walking anymore.

"It is nothing [serious], the original injury was nothing [serious].

"He had some pain which disturbed him but we hope in the next few days he will be okay.

"I don’t know if we will be available for the weekend or not."
