Chloe Kelly is in contention to land her second major individual prize in quick succession following an explosive start to this campaign.
Everton Women striker Kelly has been included on the five-strong shortlist for October’s Women’s Super League player-of-the month honour.
Winner of the award in September after helping her club open the season with successive victories and smashing a breathtaking early goal-of-the-season contender against Bristol City, Kelly was called into Phil Neville’s England squad earlier this month.
The 21-year-old further pressed her international claims on Sunday when her clinical finish set up Everton’s 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Kelly is vying with Arsenal hotshot Vivianne Miedema and another Gunners player in midfielder Danielle van de Donk for this month’s award.
Birmingham City captain Kerys Harrop, who scored in her team’s victory over Liverpool on Sunday, and Kirsty Hanson of Manchester United complete the field looking to prevent Kelly claiming back-to-back prizes.
