Everton forwards Alex Iwobi and Richarlison featured as Brazil and Nigeria battled out a 1-1 draw in an international friendly in Singapore on Sunday.

Iwobi played 83 minutes of the contest while Richarlison was introduced as a second-half substitute at Singapore’s National Stadium.

The Brazilian came within inches of netting his seventh international goal, seeing a 60th-minute header strike the crossbar.

Glasgow Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo put Nigeria in front 35 minutes in – advancing into the penalty area and lashing past Ederson from close range.

Brazil’s leveller came three minutes after the break. Real Madrid’s Casemiro applied a simple finish after Marquinhos’ header rebounded off the bar.

The five-time world champions exerted consistent pressure in pursuit of a winner – ending the game with 20 shots to Nigeria’s nine – but Iwobi’s team held out to secure an impressive draw.
