Vote For Kelly As WSL Player Of The Month

Everton forward Chloe Kelly has kicked off the 2019/20 season in barnstorming fashion and her impressive form has been recognised with a nomination for September’s WSL Player of the Month award.

After helping the Blues achieve a 1-0 opening-day victory at Birmingham City, the 21-year-old bagged a brilliant brace as Willie Kirk’s team beat Bristol City 2-0 at Southport FC.

Having broken the deadlock with a pinpoint effort from the edge of the penalty area, Kelly unleashed a spectacular 35-yard strike that flew into top of corner of Bristol keeper Sophie Baggaley’s net.

Kelly again shone as the Toffees were edged out 1-0 Manchester City last weekend, with manager Kirk declaring the talented attacker was “unplayable” during a spell of consistent Everton pressure against the FA Cup holders.

Kelly’s eye-catching displays have seen her called up to Phil Neville’s England squad as a training player. She will be part of the Lionesses’ preparations for their friendly matches against Brazil at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday and Portugal in Setubal three days later.
