Walcott Discharged From Hospital After Head Injury

Theo Walcott has been discharged from hospital after having a precautionary assessment on the head injury he sustained during Everton's game against Manchester City on Saturday.

The 30-year-old was stretchered off on seven minutes after being struck by a ball at close range and was immediately monitored by Club medical staff.

Walcott underwent further examination with doctors but returned to Goodison after the full-time whistle.

Blues medics will now follow concussion protocols as the forward's recovery continues at USM Finch Farm.

"Theo is in our dressing room, he is okay now, he's taking a shower," manager Marco Silva told evertontv after the game. "The doctors have looked at him and, let's see how he is in the next few days, but it is nothing [serious]."
