Moise Kean is one of six Premier League stars included on the shortlist for this year's illustrious Golden Boy award.

Striker Kean moved to Goodison Park from Juventus in the summer and is already a hit among Evertonians, who will unveil a banner showing their support for the Italian and condemning racism after Kean was subjected to abuse playing against Cagliari last term.

Capped three times by Italy, Kean scored six goals in 13 Serie A appearances - five of them starts - for Juve last term and has started three times for the Blues this season.

The 19-year-old is joined on the 40-strong Golden Boy list by Chelsea's England midfielder Mason Mount and Arsenal pair Matteo Guendouzi and Reiss Nelson.

Phil Foden of Manchester City and Watford's Tom Dele-Bashiru are also in the running for the prize, which honours Europe's most promising under-21 footballer.

Matthijs de Ligt claimed the 2018 award following his emergence as a top-class central defender with Ajax and Holland. The 20-year-old joined Juventus in the summer and is again among the candidates vying to emulate a distinguished list of former winners including Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Kylian Mbappe.
