Bowen Family Receive Visit From Blues Legend Ferguson

Duncan Ferguson has visited the family of an Evertonian who tragically passed away shortly after watching his beloved Blues last month.

Mark Bowen, a popular member of the Han’s Tours Supporters’ Club, died suddenly at home after attending Everton’s Premier League match at Aston Villa on Friday 23 August.

On Monday, Han’s Tours tweeted that Blues legend Ferguson had been to see the Bowen family, posting a photo of the first-team coach with Mark’s father, Fred, and young son, Liam.

“Today Duncan Ferguson went around to see the Bowen family. What a man he is, bringing a little bit of happiness to the family at this horrific time,” they posted.

Mark’s friends have a set up a crowdfunding page in his honour, while a tribute appeared in the matchday programme for Everton’s last home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The thoughts of everyone at Everton Football Club are with all of Mark's family and many, many friends at this time.
