Everton Under-23s will play Watford, Fulham and either Plymouth Argyle or Yeovil Town in the group stage of the 2019/20 Premier League Cup.

David Unsworth’s side won the competition last season, skipper Morgan Feeney heading the winner as the Toffees beat Newcastle United 1-0 in the final at Goodison Park.

The cup triumph saw the young Blues complete an unprecedented double, with Everton having also lifted the Premier League 2 title.

The Premier League Cup consists of eight groups of four teams, with each team facing one another other home and away. The top two sides will qualify for the knockout stages.

Fixture dates for the young Blues’ cup matches will be announced in due course.
