Boss Provides Team News Latest Ahead Of Lincoln Clash

Marco Silva has revealed Fabian Delph is fit and available for Everton's second round Carabao Cup clash against Lincoln City on Wednesday night.

The midfielder, who signed from Premier League champions Manchester City this summer, could make his competitive Toffees debut against the League One Imps at Sincil Bank.

Manager Silva also detailed how the Club will support Jean Philippe-Gbamin as he undergoes rehabilitation from a muscle injury.

The Ivory Coast international is expected to be sidelined for at least eight weeks, with the full timescale for the injury to be established following further investigations over the coming days.

“Fabian is in condition to play if I make the decision,” Silva said.

“He will be important for us. He can give different options to me from a technical point of view and, for sure, he will be a really good player for us.”

On Delph's fellow summer signing Gbamin, Silva added: “We are here to support him because it is not an easy moment.

“But you know [suffering an injury] is part of football. It is something that can happen.

“The injury is the type of situation where you have to see day-by-day.

“Now it is up to us to support him and put him in the best condition.”
