Everton legend Kevin Ratcliffe has hailed the "wow factor" of the design concepts for the Club’s proposed new home at Bramley-Moore Dock, as he urged fans to seize their chance to have a say on the stadium plans and Goodison Park legacy project.
Ratcliffe, a two-time league champion and European Cup Winners’ Cup winner with the Blues during the glorious 1980s, admitted the stadium designs took his breath away and also praised the plans for a community-led legacy in L4. Watch Ratcliffe's interview above or by clicking here.
He emphasised the importance of the project in driving the Club forward and urged Evertonians to show their support for the proposals by completing the online consultation survey.
Fans and city residents have until 11.59pm on Sunday 25 August - when the People's Project second-stage consultation concludes - to offer their feedback.
“Seeing the stadium designs, they have got that wow factor,” Ratcliffe told evertontv.
“And what a place to have the stadium, on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey. It will be iconic.
“Goodison is a great place and a great arena to play football – one of the best in Europe. The legacy project is key. It’s a place with so much history and it will be fantastic to have a landmark there.
“It’s very important people give their ideas, too [by completing the survey]. The more feedback you get, the better. “
