Lucas Digne tells Friday’s Liverpool Echo why he believes countryman Djibril Sidibe will prove an astute signing for Everton.

Right-back Sidibe joined the Blues from Ligue 1 side Monaco last week on a season-long loan deal, with an option to buy.

"Djibril won the World Cup with France, he has played with the national team a lot and he is a very good right-back,” said Digne, who first linked up with Sidibe when the pair played together at Lille.

"He looks to get forward and cross the ball, he has a lot of quality and I think he will prove that in England."

Richarlison also features in the local read, with the paper carrying quotes from an interview the Brazilian gave to Goal.com.

The 22-year-old attacker believes the Toffees’ summer signings – Jonas Lossl, Sidibe, Andre Gomes, Fabian Delph, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Moise Kean and Alex Iwobi – can help the Blues continue to improve.

“Bringing in these quality players increases our chances [of being successful] – they will make us stronger,” Richarlison said.

Belgian media outlet Voetbal 24, meanwhile, suggests forward Kevin Mirallas could sign for a club in his homeland before the end the month.

A number of Belgian top-flight sides are rumoured to be readying a bid for the 31-year-old.
