Broadhead Pens New Everton Deal And Joins Burton On Loan

Nathan Broadhead has signed a new Everton deal until the end of June 2021 and completed a season-long loan move to League One club Burton Albion.

Welshman Broadhead won Everton Under-23s’ player-of-the-year prize for his standout contribution to last term’s double-winning campaign. He was subsequently summoned by Wales manager Ryan Giggs for a national team training camp in the Algarve.

The 21-year-old attacker, who joined Everton’s Academy aged 10, has featured heavily for Marco Silva’s first team in pre-season, most recently starting and finishing last Saturday’s game against Mainz in Germany.

Broadhead has made one senior appearance for Everton, as a substitute against Apollon Limassol in a Europa League fixture in December 2017.

Burton, managed by former Nottingham Forest midfielder Nigel Clough, finished ninth in League One last season.

They open their 2019/20 campaign at home to Ipswich Town on Saturday.
