WATCH: DCL Pays Heartwarming Visit To Evertonian At Alder Hey

Dominic Calvert-Lewin paid a special visit to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital on Wednesday to meet nine-year-old Evertonian Emilia, who is recovering from a significant operation.

The Blues forward came bearing gifts for passionate fan Emilia, who has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

The visit came about after Emilia’s mum, Michelle, had explained her daughter’s condition on social media and posted a video of the young Blue singing Everton songs and dancing.

Calvert-Lewin responded, wishing Emilia well for her surgery, which would see her undergo a bilateral femoral derotation and calf lengthening operation – a surgical procedure to correct deformities in her leg bones and joints.

After having the operation last Friday, Emilia was preparing to return home on Wednesday when the Everton striker made her day extra special by visiting the youngster at Alder Hey.

He presented Emilia with a goody bag which included the new Everton home kit, a signed shirt, blankets, a teddy bear and many more treats.

The pair also enjoyed a chat about all things Everton, while Dominic invited Emilia to walk onto the pitch with him as a mascot at Goodison for a game of her choice next season.
