Blues Fly The Flag For Liverpool Pride

Everton Football Club showed its colours of support for Pride in Liverpool this weekend, with Club representatives taking part in the parade.

The Club was an Official Supporter of the Pride in Liverpool Festival and joined more than 12,000 people to celebrate the LGBT+ community on Saturday.

In the Club’s seventh year supporting Liverpool Pride, Blues staff and supporters took to the streets of Liverpool giving out free face paints, Everton rainbow flags and vuvuzelas.

The Blues were joined by Miss Liverpool City Region winner, Finley Unsworth, daughter of Club legend and Under-23s boss David Unsworth.

The Toffees’ presence at Liverpool Pride was organised by Everton’s newly-formed LGBT+ Staff Network and is part of a number of activities under ‘All Together Now’ – the Club’s commitment to celebrating diversity and increasing awareness of the ways in which Everton Football Club and Everton in the Community promote equality.

In other ‘All Together Now’ activity, the Club will be hosting a special screening on Friday 23 September for Everton’s match against Aston Villa in collaboration with the Rainbow Toffees – the Blues’ official LGBT Supporters' Group.
