Everton have been drawn with defending champions Manchester City in the group stage of the 2019/20 Continental League Cup.

Willie Kirk's side have been placed in Group C alongside City, Manchester United, Birmingham City and Leicester City.

Teams will play each other once - with the fixture dates and locations to be confirmed - with the top two sides progressing to the quarter-finals.

City won the cup last season after a penalty shootout success against Arsenal.
