Good evening Blues!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some more photos of the proposed design...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dan Meis: "I understand the responsibility and I want you to know this is a labour of love for me. I appreciate the trust you have put in me."

He receives a standing ovation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This photo has just received the biggest cheer of the night inside the Titanic Hotel...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And here it is! It's time to reveal proposed designs for our iconic new stadium on the banks of the River Mersey...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dan Meis: “The first time I met the Club, I realised it wasn’t a building but a home... and a unique opportunity in my career.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meis is using graphics to illustrate where the proposed stadium would fit within the Bramley-Moore Dock site. We're building now to the reveal of the concept designs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dan Meis: "There is the history of the Football Club but when we started looking at Bramley-Moore Dock we had to consider another great history - that of the city."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meis is explaining the thought process behind his design concepts. "What we couldn't lose was the charm and magic that comes from a traditional, proper football stadium," he says.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Chairman praises stadium architect Dan Meis for the way in which he has immersed himself in the Football Club and "become a Blue". He welcomes the American to the stage.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bill Kenwright is outlining the importance of fan consultation and wanting to ensure every Evertonian has had the opportunity to have their say.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tony Bellew is in attendance, too... and gets a rapturous reception.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright is now on stage. He introduces Seamus Coleman and Tom Davies, who are both in the audience this evening.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stadium Development Director Colin Chong reiterates that the second phase of consultation is an opportunity for supporters to give their feedback and support plans for the new stadium. Following the final detailed design work, two planning applications will be submitted by the Club: a detailed application for Bramley-Moore Dock and an outline application for Goodison Park. These applications are expected to be submitted before the end of 2019.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Denise stresses the Club is "still at the stage where we are sharing our ideas and seeking your feedback." Designs revealed tonight are "still conceptual", she adds.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The plans also include a health zone, education zone, sheltered accommodation, leisure and retail facilities, and a tribute garden to feature the existing centre circle and other areas of the Goodison pitch.

"There will always be somewhere where Evertonians can take children and grandchildren to share their Goodison memories,' says Denise to widespread applause.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Denise says the legacy proposal is a £100m civic inheritance project that will build on the existing facilities in the shadow of Goodison Park, including The Everton Free School, The People's Hub, The Blue Base and planned People's Place.

The site of Goodison Park will be "transformed" to include new homes "developed under a scheme that would explore new ways to make them available to residents who, otherwise, may never [be] able to afford their own homes."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Denise Barratt-Baxendale: "We have said unequivocally that, when we move, we won’t turn our back on the community of L4. We plan to do something innovative, original and befitting of who we are as a football club - befitting of The People’s Club."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Denise Barrett-Baxendale is now discussing Everton's plans for a legacy project at Goodison Park, describing the Club as having "an unbreakable bond" with Liverpool 4.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Denise says the first-phase consultation generated more than 20,000 responses in "what is recognised as one of the largest commercial public consultations the city has ever seen."

Of those who responded, 94 per cent believed Bramley-Moore Dock is an appropriate site for a new stadium, while 95 per cent backed plans for a legacy development at Goodison Park.

"The results were more than a vote of confidence for our plans," she says. "They showed that people recognise the transformational impact our stadium and our legacy plans for Goodison will have on North Liverpool, as well as the significant positive effect it will provide for all of Liverpool and the wider city region."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Denise Barratt-Baxendale: "Our stadium will bring a vibrancy and energy back to this area. The northern docks will again be filled with sound, colour and atmosphere – and will be better connected to our amazing city than ever before.

"Our stadium will perfectly bookend our already world-class waterfront – stimulating regeneration and adding to the rich cultural offering that already exists."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Denise Barratt-Baxendale says the venue for tonight's event was deliberately chosen being "a mere Jordan Pickford goal-kick away from the site of our proposed new stadium", as well as "a fantastic example of how heritage and development can exist side-by-side."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The conclusion of the video is met with a warm round of applause and there's another as Everton Chief Executive Officer Denise Barrett-Baxendale takes the mic.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We're kicking proceedings off with a showing of the video below, meaning you should have time to watch it before our first speaker takes to the stage.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The main room at the Titanic Hotel, a stone's throw from Bramley-Moore Dock, is bustling with Evertonians, who have just been given the final call to take their seats. The evening's presentation is about to get under way.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you missed it earlier this week, this emotive video explains more about The People's Project and the second phase of public consultation that begins on Friday.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everton is to host a fan event to unveil designs for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock on Thursday evening.

The event, which launches the Club’s second stage public consultation, will take place in the Rum Warehouse at the Titanic Hotel, with architect Dan Meis in attendance to introduce the latest stadium designs to a gathering of hundreds of Evertonians.

The event will coincide with the online release of the designs via evertonfc.com, peoples-project.co.uk and each of the Club's official social media accounts.

Invitations for the event have been distributed to every Evertonian who registered for and attended fan workshops hosted by Meis at St Luke's Church in the spring of 2018. The world-renowned American architect will provide the invited audience with an update on the project’s journey and the rationale behind his exciting design concepts.

Attendees will also discover the Club’s plans for Goodison Park and the mission to deliver a community-led legacy on the site of the Club's current stadium as part of The People's Project.

The event is taking place on the eve of the commencement of The People’s Project second stage public consultation - which will run from 26 July to 25 August.

The results and feedback of the month-long second stage public consultation of The People’s Project will form part of the Club’s final submission for planning applications for both Bramley-Moore Dock and development on the site of Goodison Park.

Guest speakers at Thursday's event will include Everton Chairman Bill Kenwright, CEO Denise Barratt-Baxendale, Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson and Meis.
