Friday’s Daily Mirror suggests Everton have “made enquiries” over the availability of Juventus’s World Cup-winning midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

France international Matuidi is also said to be on the radars of Manchester United and former employers Paris Saint-Germain.

Another French midfielder in the shape of Lucas Tousart is mooted as an Everton target in Le Quotidian De Foot.

Lyon player Tousart, 22, has 24 caps for his national Under-21 team.

The same report claims Tousart is being lined up as a replacement for Idrissa Gana Gueye, who is supposedly attracting interest from PSG.

In turn, La Parisien claims the Ligue 1 champions will step up their interest in Gueye after the player returns from the Africa Cup of Nations tournament with Senegal.

The Daily Star claims Inter Milan will turn their focus away from Romelu Lukaku and instead pursue Rafael Leao, a twist which could scupper Everton’s supposed interest in the Lille attacker.

In the same paper it is reported that Everton will rival Arsenal for the signature of Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

The agent of Everton forward Henry Onyekuru has told Sport24 his client has rejected an offer to join CSKA Moscow in Russia.

Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte says Everton will move for Flamengo's 17-year-old attacking midfielder Reinier Jesus, touted as one of his country’s hottest young talents.
