Fratelli Beretta Named First Official Partner Of Everton Academy

Everton Football Club has expanded its partnership with Fratelli Beretta – which sees the Italian food production business become the Club’s first Official Academy Partner.

The Academy deal marks another first for Everton and Fratelli Beretta. In 2018, Everton became the food giant’s first Premier League partner, and Fratelli Beretta the Club’s first Italian-based sponsor.

Under the new deal, Fratelli Beretta branding will appear on the front of Academy teams’ matchday shirts, around the Academy training ground and at every home game for Academy sides.

The eighth-generation family company will also see its marketing assets across the Club and will have a presence at Goodison Park on matchdays to continue to help raise awareness of its products in Asia, Europe and the USA.

In the last 10 years, Fratelli Beretta has implemented its own academy model to identify and develop future leaders from across the company and educate them in the Fratelli Beretta way.

Fratelli Beretta is a firm believer in the importance of sport and its many benefits including friendship, physical health and mental wellbeing. The brand has a long history of investment in professional sports and currently holds partnerships with Italian football clubs Torino, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Established in 1812, with a passion for quality, the Beretta Group has been committed to producing the best Italian products for more than 200 years. With more than 2,500 employees and 30 production plants in Europe, the USA and Asia, Fratelli Beretta is one of the leaders in Italian food production and is a company that continually innovates in response to the diverse needs of an evolving market and its consumers.

Alan McTavish, Commercial Director at Everton Football Club, said: “Fratelli Beretta is a company with a clear vision for the future, and a commitment to its family values. It is a company that has proven – across eight generations - that the best way to achieve its vision is to invest in and nurture the next.

“At Everton, we educate our Academy players in the proud traditions and ethos of the Club, whilst also promoting innovation and development. Leon Osman, Wayne Rooney, Tom Davies and Jonjoe Kenny exemplify the power of our Academy model to achieve great things. Fratelli Beretta also know, understand and appreciate the rewards of this approach.

“Fratelli Beretta is the perfect fit for the Academy and the Club as a whole. We both have a strong history, a passion for what we do, and a desire for growth. I look forward to seeing how we can continue to achieve our joint vision together.”

Paolo Beretta, Project Manager at Fratelli Beretta, said: “At Fratelli Beretta our philosophy and tradition focusses on investing in and nurturing talent. The partnership with Everton’s Academy mirrors our own family values and commitment to developing the next generation of leaders.

“Each year since 2013, up to 30 of the company’s most promising employees have joined the Fratelli Beretta Academy to learn about the business as a whole and to develop as possible future managers within the company, leading operations worldwide. As a company that has seen the benefits of an academy model first hand, we are excited to be sharing our knowledge and supporting the Everton Academy on bringing through the next generation of stars.”
