Everton are "closing in" on the signing of Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph, according to BBC Sport.

Saturday's Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph also carry the story, with the former reporting an £8million deal has been agreed for the 29-year-old England international.

The Mail also suggests the Blues have had a £200,000 bid for England Under-19 goalkeeper Billy Crellin rejected by Fleetwood Town.

League One Blackpool are among a number of clubs hoping to sign Everton striker Fraser Hornby on loan, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Hornby, who is currently in Switzerland with the first-team squad, is thought to be attracting interest from at least two Championship sides, as well as other clubs from the third tier.
