Ladies Sign France International Midfielder

Everton Ladies have completed the signing of France international midfielder Maeva Clemaron from FC Fleury 91 on a two-year deal.

Clemaron was part of the French squad which reached the quarter-final of its home World Cup this summer and joins Everton following two seasons with Fleury.

She spent one campaign with Lyon before joining Saint-Etienne in time for the 2008-09 campaign. Clemaron was with Saint-Etienne nine seasons and captained the club before leaving for Fleury in 2017.

The 26-year-old represented France from Under-16 to Under 19 level and won her first senior cap in France’s 3-0 win over Germany at last year’s SheBelieves Cup in America.

Clemaron could potentially make her competitive debut for Willie Kirk’s team when Everton kick off their Women’s Super League campaign at Birmingham City on 8 September.
