Thursday’s Daily Telegraph reports Everton have “expressed an interest” in signing highly-rated Lille striker Nicholas Pepe.

The paper believes the 24-year-old, who scored 22 goals in Ligue 1 last season, would cost around £59million.

Liverpool are also rumoured to be keen on bringing in the Ivory Coast attacker, who is currently representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Another striker is linked with Everton in the Daily Mail, which suggests former Chelsea man Diego Costa is on the Toffees’ radar.

The powerhouse forward currently plays for La Liga side Atletico Madrid.

The Derby Telegraph speculates Derby County are eyeing a loan move for Everton midfielder Kieran Dowell.

The 21-year-old Academy graduate spent last the second half of the 2018-19 season on loan at Sheffield United, helping the Blades win promotion to the Premier League.

The Liverpool Echo, meanwhile, reflects on the legacy Everton have left in Kenya after the Blues’ historic game against Kariobangi Sharks in Nairobi on Sunday.

Ahead of the game, Everton in the Community coaches spent five days in Kenya delivering wellbeing programmes for children and adults, offering activities tailored to meet the social and psychological needs of those living in Kariobangi.

The Echo carries quotes from Everton in the Community’s Health and Wellbeing Manager Johnnie Garside, who said: “We received such a warm welcome from everyone we met in Kariobangi and I hope that we have managed to equip the local community with some basic tools and skills to help them lead a better life with increased hope and aspirations for their future.”
