Midfielder Iversen Signs First Pro Contract

Midfielder Einar Iversen has signed a first professional contract with Everton, penning a three-year deal until the end of June 2022.

The Norway Under-21 international captained the Blues’ Under-18s last term and won the prestigious Keith Tamlin Award at the Club’s season-ending Academy Awards.

The accolade recognises a player for their “excellence, attitude and application” during their time in the Academy.

Iversen, who joined Everton from Norwegian outfit Stord in 2017, set out his ambition to break into the double-winning Everton Under-23s team in the coming campaign.

“My whole life I’ve been dreaming of becoming a professional footballer, so signing this contract is a great feeling for myself and my family,” the 18-year-old told evertonfc.com.

“I’ve developed a lot since moving to Everton – technically and physically, too.

“My goal this season is to try to get as many games as possible for the Under-23s. We have got such a good team and there is a lot of competition for places.

“I want to keep improving and I know I am in the best place to do that.”
