Everton Ladies have signed highly-rated Finland and former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Tinja-Riikka Korpela on a one-year deal.

Korpela, capped 86 times by her country following a senior international debut in 2007, joins Everton from Valerenga in Norway.

The 33-year-old added two Bundesliga titles with Bayern to the three Finnish championships she won with first club FC Honka.

Korpela, who has represented her country at two European Championship finals, left her homeland for Norwegian team Kolbotn in 2010.

She moved to fellow Norwegians LSK Kvinner two years later and had one year with Tyreso FF in Sweden before transferring to German giants Bayern in 2014.
