Everton teenager Jack Rodwell skippered England's under 16s on Friday night.

The match ended 1-1, with England taking the lead in the twelfth minute before Wales hit back a minute later.

Rodwell, 15, was named as captain for the game and gave an acconmplished performanced at the back while also being a threat in the opoosition box.

The match was the opening encounter of the Victory Shield.
