Jack Rodwell returns to the Everton starting line-up for today's match at Arsenal.
The teenager steps into the side in place of Louis Saha, who is named amongst the substitutes as the manager reverts to a 4-4-1-1 formation.
Yakubu will lead the line, whilst Rodwell will play in a midfield that includes Marouane Fellaini, Steven Pienaar, Mikel Arteta and Leon Osman.
Skipper Phil Neville is only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench after recovering from a hamstring strain. With Victor Anichebe, Joseph Yobo and Segundo Castillo ruled out, youngsters James Wallace and Dan Gosling earn places on the bench.
Leighton Baines continues at left-back and Tony Hibbert at right back.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger rests Theo Walcott, who has to settle for a place on the bench.
