Everton's players reconvened at Finch Farm this morning.

David Moyes and members of the first team squad were back at their training HQ and undertook fitness tests ahead of what is likely to be a gruelling pre-season.

There wasn't the full complement of players though, with those who have played international fixtures over the summer afforded an extra break.

That means the likes of Joseph Yobo, Victor Anichebe, Yakubu, Steven Pienaar and Tim Howard are still on holiday.

Players who were put through their paces on Thursday included skipper Phil Neville, Andrew Johnson, Leon Osman, Joleon Lescott, Phil Jagielka, Iain Turner, Jack Rodwell, Andy van der Meyde, John Paul Kissock, Dan Gosling and John Irving.

In addition, James Vaughan, Tim Cahill, Mikel Arteta, Leighton Baines and Tony Hibbert were also all at Finch Farm as they recover from their various injuries.
