Reserves In Action

Seamus Coleman and Jose Baxter get the chance to impress for Everton reserves against Sunderland on Monday evening.

The Toffees will look to continue the excellent form they showed in thrashing Wigan 5-2 last time out.

And again responsibility is handed to the Club's youngsters as the number of first team players out injured continues to have a knock-on effect.

Full-back Coleman and attacking midfielder Baxter are the only two players in the XI to have featured for the senior team this term.

But veteran keeper Carlo Nash offers plenty of experience in goal, while Shane Duffy has also been part of the senior squad at times this season.

Thomas Donegan is handed a first start at this level after bagging a brace from the bench at Wigan, while summer arrivals Shkodran Mustafi, Cody Arnoux and Anton Peterlin are also set to start the Stobart Stadium clash.

Sunderland include former Scotland international Russell Anderson and Ireland's Roy O'Donovan in their side.

The two teams are currently level on six points in the lower reaches of the Barclays Premier Reserve League North table.

Everton: Nash, Coleman, Bidwell, Peterlin, Duffy, Mustafi, Donegan, Forshaw, Arnoux, Baxter, Craig, Davies, McCarten, Akpan, McAleny, Codling.
