Louis Saha and Jack Rodwell will face late fitness tests ahead of Sunday's Merseyside derby.

The duo both sustained minor muscle injuries during Wednesday's game at Hull City and will be assessed by Everton's medical team before the visit of Liverpool.

Saha (calf) completed the full 90 minutes at the KC Stadium but Rodwell (groin) had to be withdrawn on the hour mark.

Blues boss David Moyes will be able to call upon Diniyar Bilyaletdinov for the game however as the Russian has now served his three-game suspension for the red card he received against Aston Villa last month.

Steven Pienaar, who only returned to the first-team fold for Wednesday's trip to Humberside came through without any repercussions to the knee injury which kept him out for nearly two months.

Moyes is still without long-term injury absentees Phil Jagielka, Phil Neville, Mikel Arteta, Leon Osman Victor Anichebe and James Vaughan.
