Duo Absent From Trip

Midfield duo Steven Pienaar and Jack Rodwell have not travelled to Minsk.

Pienaar was injured after a collision with South African team-mate Aaron Mokoena in the Premier League fixture at Portsmouth last weekend and has stayed back at Finch Farm training ground.

Meanwhile, teenager Rodwell is missing due to flu-like symptoms, which have ruled him out of the visit to the Belarus capital to play FC BATE Borisov.

Both players have been key members in the recent revival of form that has seen the side record victories in each of the last four games, scoring 12 goals without reply.

With Pienaar, Rodwell and also top scorer Louis Saha - suspended following his red card in the 4-0 defeat of AEK Athens - forcefully omitted from the squad, manager David Moyes has included some of the club's younger players in the travelling party.
