Late Decision On Rodwell

Jack Rodwell is a doubt for Everton's trip to Sunderland after picking up a hamstring strain.

The teenager sustained the problem playing for the Blues' reserves in their 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday night.

But Brazilian striker Jo is back in the reckoning after being ineligible for that clash with City.

In his weekly press conference, the Goodison chief revealed he will be forced to make a late decision on whether Rodwell would be available.

"Jack Rodwell picked up a bit of a hamstring strain in the reserve game and he's a doubt," revealed the manager. "Apart from that I think every body else is roughly the same."

No other injury worries have arisen since that game against City, although the Scot did give his views on Phil Jagielka's knee injury.

The centre-back was ruled out for the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on a ruptured cruciate ligament and Moyes is satisfied with the results of the surgery.

"Jagielka's operation went well," added the Blues boss.

"We think he's a quick healer but he obviously won't be back until next season."

Moyes' conference ahead of the clash with Sunderland will be available on evertonTV from Friday PM.
