11 Blues On International Duty

Eleven Everton players have headed off for international duty this week as Euro 2012 qualifying continues.

Top of the list is England man Phil Jagielka, who will hope to keep his place in Fabio Capello’s side when Montenegro visit Wembley on Tuesday October 12.

Elsewhere, Seamus Coleman – called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad for the first time – will encounter some familiar faces with a home game against Diniyar Bilyaletdinov’s Russia (Oct 8) and a trip to Jan Mucha’s Solvakia (Oct 12) on the agenda.

Having faced Ireland, midfielder Bilyaletdinov will be part of the Russian squad heading to Macedonia while Mucha prepares for the home clash against the Irish with a trip to Armenia.

Also in qualifying action is John Heitinga, who is preparing for a trip to Moldova before Sweden visit the Netherlands.

Midfielder Marouane Fellaini will hope Belgium can kick-start their campaign when they visit Kazakhstan before returning home to face Austria.

Tim Howard is in friendly action against Poland in Chicago while Tim Cahill is travelling back to Australia for a non-competitive game against Paraguay.

Ross Barkley Is in England Under-19 action against Luxembourg on Friday, Shane Duffy is in the Ireland Under-19 squad to face Luxembourg and Magaye Gueye is in the France Under-21 squad for games against Turkey and Denmark.
