France Leave Saha Out

Louis Saha's World Cup fears have been confirmed after France omitted the striker from their provisional squad.

The Everton forward does not make Raymond Domenech's 30 man list ahead of this summer's tournament in South Africa.

Last week Saha spoke exclusively to evertontv and explained why he felt he'd missed his chance.

"Maybe I have had my chance though as I didn't play for a few weeks and maybe I have missed my chance," said the 31-year-old.

"I will be waiting for the call though and I hope to be there in South Africa."

After a string of impressive performances earlier in the season, the Everton striker was recalled to his national side for the first time in three years.

However, Saha did not feature for Les Bleus in their friendly against Spain in March after returning home with a hamstring injury.

The striker's notched up 15 goals for Everton this season but struggled with minor injuries towards the close of the 2009/10 campaign.
