Trio In Fitness Battle

David Moyes has several injury concerns ahead of the trip to Bolton.

Phil Neville (hamstring), Sylvain Distin (groin) and Jack Rodwell (rib) all missed the win over Wolves last weekend and that trio remain doubtful for Saturday's game at the Reebok.

Moyes also hinted that he may also be contending with further injury problems in his squad.

The manager said at his Friday press conference: "They are getting better and we will see how they are on Saturday.

"We will have a look tomorrow and see where they are. There are one or two others in that category as well."

Phil Jagielka will continue to play with a painkilling injection to ease the pain from a broken toe, with Victor Anichebe a long term absentee with his groin problem.

And if Neville isn't back from his hamstring injury, Jagielka will retain the captain's armband.

Moyes added: "He is someone who we rely on. He's been acting captain when Phil Neville has been out so he has an added responsibility and I've seen good signs from Phil Jagielka."

Bolton could welcome back defender Dedryck Boyata to their starting XI after a six week absence.

Stuart Holden and Chung-Yung Lee are both long term injuries.
