Everton are set to be without Jack Rodwell for a month after he injured his groin playing for England Under-21s.

Rodwell had played only 12 minutes of the Young Lions' 1-0 defeat to Italy on Tuesday afternoon before limping off.

He returned to Merseyside and underwent a scan which revealed the severity of his injury.

Rodwell has made 17 appearances this season, scoring against Huddersfield back in August. He has started the last three games for David Moyes' side.
