David Moyes expects to be without Jack Rodwell until next season after he suffered another hamstring setback.

Rodwell has been suffering with the problem since January, managing only sporadic comeback attempts over the last three-and-a-half months.

Now Moyes is planning on seeking the help of a specialist and doesn't expect Rodwell to play until the 2012/13 campaign. The news is likely to rule the two-cap midfielder out of Euro 2012 as well.

"Jack Rodwell has pulled his hamstring again training,'' said Moyes. "He trained Saturday morning and felt his hamstring again. He had a scan. It's a grade one which is small. But in the circumstances two or three times now. We are trying to send him to Germany for treatment."

The specialist in question is Bayern Munich's Dr. ‪Müller-Wohlfahrt‬, an expert who has treated stars of various sports, including Michael Owen, Usain Bolt and Darren Gough.

"Dr Müller-Wohlfahrt is away this week and because he is the Bayern Munich doctor he has a very big week next week because of their Champions League semi-final," explained Moyes.

"So trying to get hold of him will be the hardest thing certainly in the short term.

"I would advise him to concentrate on next season because Jack has probably missed six months with hamstring injuries so we have to get him working on whatever work programme they recommend him to do."
