Midfield Trio Unlikely To Be Fit

David Moyes faces another decision over how to shape his midfield with Darron Gibson, Jack Rodwell and Seamus Coleman all doubts for Wednesday's visit of Arsenal.

Irishman Gibson is back in training following a knee problem but is unlikely to feature against the Gunners, while Rodwell missed Saturday's game against Sunderland after suffering a slight recurrence of his recent hamstring complaint.

Coleman is also likely to miss out after sustaining a thigh strain during the 1-1 draw with the Black Cats.

Everton's assistant manager Steve Round confirmed all three players will be assessed on Wednesday but admitted he doesn't expect them to be available until Saturday's trip to Swansea at the earliest.

"Jack Rodwell's a little bit of a doubt with a slight hamstring injury," he said. "We've got to monitor that because he's had it on and off. He may have a fitness test tomorrow, we'll just see how he wakes up in the morning.

"Seamus Coleman is also a doubt because he's got a slight thigh strain, but again he'll be touch and go for tomorrow, but both should be expected to be fit for the weekend.

"Everybody else is okay. Darron Gibson's just not quite made it yet. He's had his first bit of training today, but he'll come into contention after tomorrow."

Steven Pienaar, who was cup-tied for the visit of Sunderland, is once again available for selection.
