On the Under-21s scene, Shane Duffy captained Republic of Ireland to a 4-1 win over Faroe Islands in their first qualifier for the 2015 European Championships.

On Tuesday evening, Ross Barkley scored in England Under-21s 6-0 win over Scotland, a game which also saw John Stones play the full 90 minutes.
