Tarashaj Plays Against Bayern

Shani Tarashaj stepped off the bench to help Eintracht Frankfurt earn a 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich on Saturday.

The forward, on a season-long loan with the Bundesliga club, came on with 20 minutes remaining at the Commerzbank-Arena - the second appearance in his season-long spell with the German club.

The draw sees Frankfurt remain in eighth position in the Bundesliga table.


It was also a positive afternoon for Russell Griffiths whose Cheltenham Town side secured a welcome 2-1 home victory against Crawley Town.

The three points elevated the Robins up to 17th in the League Two standings.

Tarashaj and Griffiths were the only two Everton loanees who got match action over the weekend.

Conor Grant and Luke Garbutt were unused substitutes for Ipswich Town and Wigan Athletic respectively.

The Tractor Boys played out a goalless draw with Blackburn Rovers, while it was also a stalemate at the DW Stadium as Wigan were held by Burton Albion.

Aiden McGeady was absent from the Preston North End squad that drew 2-2 at Brighton and Hove Albion.

Brendan Galloway wasn’t part of West Bromwich Albion’s 18-man squad that played out a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
