Leighton Baines’ Under-18s continued their good form with an impressive 5-1 against Derby County on Saturday.
Goals from Martin Sherif, Jacob Beaumont-Clark, Coby Ebere, Troy Smikle-James and an own goal sealed the win while Derby grabbed a consolation strike late on.
Everton's opener came in bizarre circumstances as a casual back pass caught out Derby keeper Harry Evans, whose loose touch saw the ball end up in the back of his own net.
Sherif added a second less than five minutes later as he latched on to a delightful through ball from winger Beaumont-Clark before calmly slotting home.
Ebere had a flurry of chances as the first half came to a close, notably smashing the underside of the bar after patient build-up play from right to left allowed him to cut inside and shoot.

Ebere finally got his goal after he was brought down in the penalty area and hit his spot kick straight down the middle to make it four.
Derby would add a late consolation goal as they turned home a corner with less than ten minutes to go.
Substitutes Troy Smilke-James and Shae Cahil rounded off the win excellently with a quick intrict play leading to the fifth converted by Smikle-Kames.
The win means Everton move eight points clear of Derby at the bottom of the table, and sees them gain some valuable ground on those at the top of the Northern conference.
