Christopher Ward

Since becoming the world’s first direct-to-consumer luxury watch brand in 2005 – turning the traditional wholesale model on its head by offering hitherto unseen value in mechanical watches – Christopher Ward (CW) has become synonymous with innovation in an often-conservative sector.

Proudly Anglo-Swiss in structure, all Christopher Ward’s watches are designed at its UK base at Maidenhead and engineered and assembled at its atelier in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.

This unique ‘twin-flag’ approach has led to several significant firsts for CW, including the creation of the first commercially viable mechanical watch movement from a British brand in over 50 years, the acclaimed Calibre SH21.

Well respected within the global watch community, Christopher Ward has customers in more than 100 countries and still has the same mission: to put high-quality mechanical watches within reach of everyone.

On the new partnership with Everton FC, CW co-founder and CEO, Mike France, said: “Becoming Everton Football Club’s first Official Global Timing Partner, apart from being a great honour, is a milestone for Christopher Ward in our mission to make the visceral pleasure of owning a premium mechanical watch accessible to the many – not just the few.

And while, as a lifelong Evertonian, I’m acutely aware of the club’s rich history, intensely loyal worldwide fanbase and bright future (as evidenced by the new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock), it’s the deep-rooted commitment to their local community that convinced us this could be a partnership with a purpose beyond purely commercial benefits. We look forward to playing our role in bringing exciting times to Evertonians everywhere.”
