Everton Team News For Merseyside Derby

Sean Dyche is "hopeful" of having Dominic Calvert-Lewin available for Wednesday's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park (8pm BST), while confirming Beto will miss Everton's next two games.

The Blues head into the 244th edition of the local clash looking to build on Sunday's important 2-0 home victory over Nottingham Forest.

Calvert-Lewin was withdrawn midway through the second period of that victory over Forest with a minor knock and will be assessed on Tuesday before manager Dyche selects his matchday squad.

Beto, however, will miss out on upcoming matches against Liverpool and Brentford, in line with protocols after being taken off on a stretcher late on against Forest with a head injury.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Dyche said: "Hopeful [Calvert-Lewin] will be back for tomorrow. We will wait and see on that one.

"[Beto] definitely won't feature for these next couple of games but he will be back after that - following the protocols, and rightly so. Good news so far. He has had all the checks needed and he's fine. Obviously, he took a real knock but I thought the staff were terrific and obviously we want that. All staff involved were terrific - getting on there quick and dealing with things effectively on his behalf."

Seamus Coleman, who was sidelined with a minor groin issue last weekend, has resumed training on the grass but will not be ready to feature against Jurgen Klopp's side.

Nathan Patterson (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, while Lewis Dobbin (ankle) and Dele (groin) remain unavailable.
