About Jim
Die Hard Evertonian since late 1950's - Nothing else matters!
First Game
Arsenal V Everton Nov 1967 - I was in Winchester and just had to go when I was offered a ticket from a mate who was an Arsenal fan - ended 2-2 Husband and Hurst scored for us. Still sorry my first wasn't a Goodison match!
Favourite Everton Moment
Derek Temple scoring the 1966 FA Cup winning goal! Not a great goal, a mistake by a Wednesday player and a virtual tap in but I couldn't speak after it went in for nearly 5 minutes! What a come back from 0-2 down in an FA Cup Final!
Favourite Current Player
Mikel Arteta. He's the first classy player Everton have had in many a year, totally magic watching him dribble, taking free kicks, scoring and, Yes, even tackling!
Favourite Manager
Howard Kendall. Most successful, you had to be there to appreciate the team he built. He would have won the European Cup the year England were banned and that's a sore point!
Favourite Game
V Bayern Munich in 1985 Cup Winners Cup
Favourite Goal
I suppose Cahill's overhead goal against Chelski in Nov 2007 stands out, it was my mobile wallpaper for months! But Andy Gray was my hero putting his head where I wouldn't put my wife's anything! His 2 great headers against Sunderland in 1985 stand out in my mind.
Favourite Kit
2000 One to One Home Kit - I've still got mine in mint condition, great feel to putting it on!
Favourite Chant
Forever Everton
